Welcome to one of the most historic buildings in Canada! Cobalt is the site of the richest silver deposit in the WORLD!!
The Coniagas #4 Shaft in this building is 350 feet deep. This mine shaft produced silver from 1914 - 1917.
In 1927 after the mine shut down, Anthony Giachino took over the property and added the building that this Restaurant is in. He opened a grocery store and butcher shop. He used the cool air from the mine shaft to keep his meat cold.
